COLOUR!!!! to experiment with colour i tried to find a background that was far darker than the object. The first picture is of a sneaker against the side of a speaker, and the second a plug against a duvet cover.
i like the sneaker image, there is a clear distinction between the two colours and you have used the rule of thirds to good effect. The second image, the composition isnt quite right & it is a little out of focus.
